Many of the poems are set on Thelma's home ground in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, where the coastal winds whip across a landscape of wooded valleys and neatly farmed, open fields.

The book will enable the reader, weather a seasoned Country Man or some one who may not have had the opportunity to participate in rural per suits, to hopefully share and enjoy some of the days from the comfort of their arm chair.

Even on the wettest day when the rain squelches in her hunting boots, you can almost feel the motion of the horse beneath her as she recreates the scenes around her from the saddle. Hunting tales, country characters, the cycle of the seasons are all subjects to touch the heart. Yet as well as being passionate Thelma is a realist, and a humourist.

"This 'pick up, put down' volume will lift your spirits at any time of year and is a must on the bookshelf of lovers of the Countryside, Equestrian, Horses, Horse Riding, Fox Hunting, Poetry, and Art ...."
